We provide education to help our clients meet their due diligence while understanding compliance and the rights of the applicant. At Pinnacle, we work in partnership with our clients and always have a trained professional available to help. Pinnacle was founded in 1987 as a private investigation firm by Spokane, Washington’s first female police officer, Sandra Brewer. We later added pre-employment background checks and split into two companies. Pinnacle Investigations conducts FCRA compliant background checks in accordance with national and local regulations. We conduct criminal and civil investigations for employers in various industries across the country.
In 2003 Pinnacle began working with Access Authorization at nuclear generating plants to provide in-depth personal background investigations. Today Pinnacle Investigations is run with two distinct departments led by Executive Vice-President, Sabrina Sawyer; one for nuclear and one for our corporate clients. We have enjoyed a growth rate of over 22% for the past three years and are on track to do it again this year. We are proud to say our client retention rate is over 96%.
We conduct an in-depth background check on all employees including criminal history, employment verification, traffic history, security watch list, references and drug testing. We perform the same backgrounds as required by Nuclear Energy Institute guidelines. New employees go through classroom training for one week prior to beginning on-the-job training and must pass an extensive test demonstrating sufficient knowledge before being released for OJT. OJT is monitored closely by supervisors to achieve proficiency. We also conduct ongoing education and training in the form of an Investigator Certification Program.
